The tips here are what we have learned over the years, as they come to mind in my efforts at gardening on a budget. Eco-gardening is important, it saves you money and gives you more insects, birds and mammals in your garden.
One of our over-riding concerns is to use what we have, so paths are built with pebbles and edged with sandstone from the garden. Stone walls are built using no mortar, just stones from the garden. All hedge trimmings are turned into mulch using an electric chipper.
